LICENSING & STATE AUTHORIZATION
We know obtaining a home care license in Pennsylvania can feel daunting as a newcomer. But take heart - with Waiver Consulting Group's expert guidance, the process is straightforward and stress-free.
Unlike some states, Pennsylvania requires licensing for all non-medical home care providers before legally operating. This includes basic services like homemaking, companionship and personal care.
The key is proving to reviewers you'll operate your agency safely, reliably and focused on quality of care. Our decades of experience allows us to demonstrate that through your application and supplementary documents. We provide policies, training protocols, financial info and anything else required.
WCG also guides enrollment with the Department of Health and other steps to fully meet Pennsylvania standards. We become your trusted advisors, allowing you to avoid missteps on the path to licensure.
While licensing takes more upfront work, with WCG's support it's absolutely achievable for committed entrepreneurs in Pennsylvania. Let our team simplify the process so you can focus on providing outstanding care across the Keystone State. Contact us today to begin your journey!
STAFF DEVELOPMENT & MANDADATED STATE TRAINING
Federal Training Compliance Requirement
Federal legislation (42 CFR 484.36) requires that Medicare-certified home health agencies employ home health aides who are trained and evaluated through training programs approved by their states. Federal regulations require that these training programs consist of at least 75 hours of training, including at least 16 hours of supervised practical or clinical training and 12 hours of continuing education per each 12-month period. Federal regulations also list the subject areas and skills to be taught, outline the qualifications for approved trainers, and define the competency evaluation process.
Pennsylvania: Follows Federal Code of Regulations: CFR Title 42, Vol. 3, 484 on what training is required for providers.

PROVIDER ENROLLMENT
Streamline Your Path to Getting Paid for The Services You Provide
Provider enrollment is the vital process of ensuring that providers like yourself can request payment from insurance payers. Whether you're a Medicaid, Medicare, or private insurance provider, we offer comprehensive services to simplify and expedite your enrollment journey.
Medicaid Provider Enrollment
Imagine Medicaid as a program that helps people afford healthcare services. To participate in this program as a healthcare provider, you need to go through a process called Medicaid provider enrollment. It's like getting your official entry ticket. This process ensures that you meet specific requirements and qualifications, so you can offer services covered by Medicaid, allowing eligible patients to access your care while getting reimbursed for your services.
Medicare Provider Certification
Think of Medicare as another program that provides healthcare coverage, but for a different group of people. To become a trusted part of this program, service providers must go through Medicare provider certification. It's like earning a seal of approval from the Federal Government through the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Certification means you meet strict standards and can provide services covered by Medicare, ensuring you receive payments for the care you deliver.
Private Payer/Insurance Credentialing
When it comes to private health insurance companies, each has its own set of rules and requirements. Credentialing with private payers is like joining an exclusive club. You need to prove that you're qualified and meet their specific criteria to bill and get paid for the services you offer through their insurance plans.
ACHC Accreditation
Picture ACHC accreditation as a gold star for your healthcare agency. It's like being recognized for your commitment to providing top-notch care. Accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) shows that your agency meets high-quality standards and follows all the rules and regulations. It's an assurance to your clients and partners that you're dedicated to delivering safe and effective healthcare services.
The Joint Commission Accreditation
The Joint Commission accreditation is like the ultimate badge of honor in healthcare. Think of it as a stamp of excellence. When your healthcare facility or organization earns this accreditation, it means you've met incredibly high standards for client safety and the quality of care you provide. It's a way to tell your clients and their loved ones that they can trust you with their health and well-being because you're committed to delivering top-quality care.
